Our Mission

The mission of BTS is to establish effective ways to reach consumers while simultaneously meeting the specific, unique needs of the traveler by providing a comprehensive variety of specialized products and services.  Most of today’s travelers find it essential to convert the waiting time before a flight or during a layover into a more productive use of their time. Enjoy our entertainment offerings, pamper yourself with our personal services or shop at one of our unique retail shops; BTS is dedicated to identifying, developing and securing a comprehensive variety of providers to meet that need with superior quality service, convenience and value.

The Company

BTS is a privately held Georgia corporation.  BTS is a minority-owned and minority-controlled business whose principals are William H. Swift, Anita Leopold and C.A. The management team of BTS is as follows:

William H. Swift, President

Mr. Swift is an owner and president of Business Traveler Services, Inc. (BTS), a minority-owned business center development company. Mr. Swift is also owner and president of Swift Services, Inc. an operator/consulting company for retail, food and beverage for such brands as Pepsi, T. G. I. Friday’s, Café Intermezzo, XpresSpa, Savannah Candy Kitchen and BlackBerry. At the annual Airport Revenue News Conference Mr. Swift received the Best New Specialty Retail Concept for BlackBerry from Wireless Giant.

Prior to forming BTS and Swift Services, Inc., Mr. Swift served as the Executive Director of DobbsPaschal Midfield Corporation (DPMC). He was responsible for the management of DPMC that administered the Principal Concessionaire Agreement for 110 concessions locations generating more than $90 million in sales at Atlanta’s airport. Shortly after his term as Executive Director of DPMC, Mr. Swift operated an 18 unit group of Jack-in-the-Box franchise quick serve restaurants in San Antonio, Texas.

During the Maynard Jackson administration, Mr. Swift served as Director of Purchasing and Real Estate for the City of Atlanta. As Director, he established innovative programs and policies that resulted in significant minority and female participation in all procurement and construction with an emphasis on airport construction, professional services and concessions.

Bill served two terms (four years) as Chair of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Prior to serving as Chair of AMAC, he served as 2nd and 1st Vice Chair, respectively, while simultaneously serving as the AMAC/FAA Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference Chair.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (Cum Laude) from Central State University and an MBA degree, with a concentration in accounting, starting new business ventures and management of service operations, from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Anita D. Leopold, V.P. of Sales and Marketing


In 1994, Ms. Leopold began her airport concessions’ career as an owner and the executive vice president of her firm, Business Traveler Services, Inc. (BTS).  She is responsible for day-to-day operations within BTS and the interactions with the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Department of Aviation, business development, client and customer interaction, and the design and construction of all new airport locations.

In 1997, to gain experience and qualify as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Airport Concession (ACBDE) operator, Ms. Leopold created Flying Leap, Inc.  Flying Leap is currently certified in 15 states.  Further, in January 2010, along with two partners, she created 3-face consulting which brings all the experience under one umbrella.  Ms. Leopold and her team offer clients an array of services that include: concept development, creation of new store design, and the capability to secure airport locations for clients’ businesses.  Her success is based on forward–thinking, creative concepts geared toward the woman traveler.

Ms. Leopold began working as a Project Manager for Macy’s.  Her primary responsibility included the execution of the successful Macy’s-Egelston Christmas Parade in Atlanta and sponsoring children’s department events throughout the nation.  After Macy’s, Ms. Leopold began an advertising career where she sold the advertising panels in and around Fulton County Stadium, first home to the Atlanta Braves.  Here, she increased advertising sales from $200,000 to $3M in two years.

Ms. Leopold, married, with two sons, resides in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a volunteer for several charitable organizations, an avid supporter of education, and a zealous worker for her sons’ school.  She is an active member of Drop Dead Gorgeous, an organization that is heightening awareness about the commercial, sexual exploitation of children.  She is also involved in the work to make Buckhead, her Atlanta neighborhood, and the international section of Atlanta for consultants, international businesses as well as activities and cultural events.  She has volunteered uncounted hours at the Atlanta International School where she has served as chairperson for the school’s annual Worldfest event and spring benefit, raising approximately $700,000 for the school.  She continues to serve various committees.

C.A. Sandy Jones, V.P. of Administration and Finance

Sandy-JonesC.A. Sandy Jones was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Mercer University in 1972, earning a Bachelor of Science degree and subsequently earned an M.B.A. from Georgia State University in 1976.

His diverse career has included experience in project coordination while with Dekalb County involving  local, state and federal funding, planning and construction of health services facilities. As County Manager of Rockdale County he was responsible for administrative, operational and financial functions. When employed by at&t to participate in an “Up Or Out” Manager Development Program he served on a national account management team and subsequently was responsible for hiring candidates for the Manager Development Program in the nine state Southeast Region.

Beginning in the mid-80’s, he was sales manager for a company specializing in both traditional and nontraditional outdoor advertising. In 1990, he was given the added responsibility of managing airport concessions, concentrating on business services, entertainment and retail concepts. In 1994, these experiences led to him becoming an owner and founding partner in companies that handle airport concessions along with a solely owned company which owns, operates and/or manages the marketing and sales of outdoor advertising. His responsibilities as an owner of BTS involve all its day-to-day legal, financial and administrative matters. As the sole owner, he is President of Mahalo Marketing, Inc.

Sandy is married to Leigh Lockridge Jones, a former attorney and they have two beautiful daughters, Aubrey and Annie.
